COURTNEY FLETCHER

For 25 years, I was in the service industry. I loved it and I felt rewarded in my time spent providing for friends and strangers. I got to know people at every stage of life and followed their evolving narratives over many years. I emerged from this profession with a high capacity to understand our commonalities and the obstacles we share as human beings, no matter who we are or where we come from.

At 40, I started over in my career, this time to build a successful business from the ground up with my own two hands. In fact, my life has been eclipsed by the theme of starting over— from moving a lot as a kid, to home insecurity and loss in adulthood— only to rebuild my foundations each time, stronger than before. I became comfortable with change and certain insecurities, and over time, I have amassed resources and life skills to help adapt to new transitions. Starting over is hard, but it doesn’t have to be insurmountable.
